1. License Grant

By purchasing QuantLens data packs, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the data for:

AI/ML model training and fine-tuning
Data analytics and research
Commercial applications

2. Permitted Use

You may:

Use data packs internally within your organization
Train models and deploy them commercially
Create derivative datasets (with proper attribution where required)

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

Resell or redistribute the raw data packs
Remove or alter provenance metadata (SHA-256 hashes, source URLs)
Use data for unlawful purposes or harm individuals

4. Data Provenance & Warranty

All data is sourced from public domain or publicly accessible sources (SEC, USPTO, FDA, NASA, EUR-Lex, etc.). We provide data "as-is" with SHA-256 integrity verification.

Warranty: We warrant that data is accurately extracted and validated (100% audit pass rate as of purchase date). However, we do not warrant fitness for any specific purpose.

5. Refund Policy

Because these are digital downloads, all sales are final once the files are delivered. We will issue a refund or replacement within 7 days of purchase if:

Files are corrupted/incomplete, or
The delivered pack is materially misdescribed vs. the catalog page.

To request a refund, email support@quantlens.net with your order email, SKU, and a short description (screenshots welcome).

6. Updates & Versioning

Data packs may receive updates (e.g., new records added, corrections). Purchasers receive yearly updates for purchased packs from the date of purchase.

7. Attribution Requirements

Per-pack attribution varies by license:

Public Domain (SEC, FDA): No attribution required
CC-BY (IEEE, some research data): Attribution required (see pack manifest for details)

8. Limitation of Liability

QuantLens is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from data use. Maximum liability is limited to the purchase price.

9. Compliance

All data packs are EU AI Act Limited Risk (no biometric data, no PII, public sources). Purchasers are responsible for compliance with local regulations.
